I’m writing a book about obedience culture — the invisible operating system that trains people to surrender their own thinking, feeling, and sense-making “for their own good.”

It’s about what happens inside families, churches, workplaces, and relationships that run on compliance instead of connection. And it’s about what becomes possible when people stop performing loyalty and start living lives that actually belong to them.

The book draws from psychology, history, and lived experience. It’s not an angry takedown. It’s an honest look at how many lives that appear functional and successful don’t fully belong to the people living them — and what changes when they finally reclaim authorship.
